Tired of yanking on a pull chain over and over to get the fan speed you want? Or grabbing a step stool to reverse your fan blade direction? This handy wall switch lets you control the fan speed, so you can turn it on low just to get a little air flowing, medium to stay comfortable, and medium-high or high on those sweltering summer days. The switch also lets you change the direction of the fan blades and turn the fan on and off with the push of a button.
Stay Comfortable All Year Round
Spinning your fan blades in the right direction is important. This reversible RV ceiling fan helps keep you, your family, and even your pets comfortable during any season and reduces the use of your air conditioner and furnace.
In the warmer spring and summer months, you should set your fan to spin counterclockwise. This creates a wind chill effect where cool air is pushed down and out and then redistributed throughout your RV, allowing you to set the temperature on your thermostat higher to avoid blasting your air conditioner all summer.
Using a ceiling fan in the winter seems backwards, right? Wrong. In fact, you should set your fan to spin clockwise at low speed to keep your RV cozy and comfortable in the chilly fall and winter months. This revolving action pulls cool air up to the ceiling and pushes warm air, which naturally rises, down along the walls toward the floor, preventing cold pockets of air from forming. In doing this, you'll be able to set the temperature on your thermostat lower in the winter.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at this 12-volt ceiling fan for your RV or camper with the included wall switch. Now folks, this is a four-speed, 42-inch diameter in a brushed nickel black finish. So folks, this is a reversible ceiling fan so it can provide you with comfortable airflow whether it's winter or summer or fall or spring obviously. So, obviously I've got this just hanging here for demo purposes only.
It's not wired up. It does run on 12 volts. And like I mentioned at the start of the video here, you do get a very nice wall switch included for wiring it up and of course you got on/off, you can reverse it with the button here. There's nothing to have to worry about like your house fans where you flip that switch up on the housing, it's all right here, which is nice. And then of course you got your speed that you'll just push to switch through the speeds as you need them.
So, it's a great option for you. Now this is everything, again, just kind of up here for demonstration purposes. I do wanna throw up an image of what you're gonna get. On the left hand side there, that's everything that you get outta the box whenever it's not assembled. And from the far right picture there, after that middle line, I've got a top down photo I put up here.
You can't probably read it too well, but those red letters on those silver plates on the fan blades say, this side up. So, it's very important when you install this, per the instructions, you have that side facing up towards the ceiling. That way from underneath, you're not gonna be able to see that or read that. That's how you know that you got it on the right direction. And I do wanna go ahead and kinda turn this up carefully and kinda show you.
So, there we go. That's what it looks like. The centerpiece here simply screws on or off as part of the installation. So, I wanna kind of show you a quick little look in there. So, you got your couple screws for each fan blade. That's what holds 'em in place. And then this piece just screws back on and it's like a decorative trim. And then of course you have your bracket here that's included and that's gonna get mounted up into your ceiling on a correct style of box, meaning it needs to be made for a fan mount to be able to hold that weight and have the right hookups up there. You will get all the hardware to mount that up onto that ceiling mount. Again, it's on the image I put up earlier, it does come included. As far as some dimensions, again, 42-inch diameter and I can't show you that. Just envision an invisible circle. It would be somewhere out in here from this tip to where these two tips have a straight line. 42-inch diameter. The housing here, including the base, is roughly six and three quarter inches tall overall. Just the housing here itself, the top part only, is five inches tall, five and a half inches wide. And the blades themselves are five inches wide at the widest part here at the tip. And just the blade from the back of the black part here to the very top part of the curve, so the longest part I could measure, I got 18 inches long overall on that black part of the fan blade itself. Now this has a maximum wattage of 20 watts. The air output if you're interested, is 1,136 CFMs. And again, it's a three blade fan. So, as you can imagine, if it was turned on and everything, it's gonna be able to push air down or pull, push air down in the summer and then when you flip that switch there to reverse it in the wintertime, it'll run in reverse and push that high air back down from the ceiling. So, very important step there for the different seasons. Well folks, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look together at this 12-volt RV ceiling fan. I'm Steven with etrailer.
